Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG)

Application deadline: September 15.
Scholarship amount: $2,500 per year.

Student must have a 29 on the ACT and a 3.5 GPA.

Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters Scholarship

Application deadline: September 15, 2026.
Scholarship amount: Full cost of tuition.

The Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighter Scholarship Program offers financial assistance to dependent children and spouses of any Mississippi Law enforcement officer, full time firefighter or volunteer firefighter who has suffered fatal injuries or wounds or become permanently or totally disabled because of injuries which occurred in the performance of the official duties of his/her office. This financial assistance is offered as an eight-semester tuition and room scholarship at any state supported college or university in Mississippi.

Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG)

Application opens: October 1.
Application deadline: September 15.
Scholarship amount: $500 per year for freshmen and sophomores; $1,000 per year for juniors and seniors.

Student must be a legal resident of MS for one year prior to application. The student must also have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and minimum of 15 on the ACT.

The Gates Scholarship

Application deadline: September 15, 2026.
Scholarship amount: Full cost of tuition.

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last dollar scholarship for outstanding minority high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, TGS awards exceptional student leaders, aiming to help them realize their maximum potential. Gates Scholars receive funding for the full cost of attendance that is not covered by other financial aid

DEED Scholarships

Application deadline: October 15, 2026.
Scholarship amount: $4,000.

DEED offers three types of funding for students to pursue energy-related careers: line worker and technical education scholarships, student internships, and student research grants.

Helmer, Conley and Kasselman Annual College Scholarship

Application deadline: November 15, 2026.
Scholarship amount: $500.

Helmer, Conley, and Kasselman Law Firm offers this scholarship to help students begin their journey on the road to becoming an attorney. High school seniors or current college students planning to pursue a JD (attorney) or comparable degree within the U.S. are eligible to apply.

Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Scholarship

Application deadline: November 27, 2026.
Scholarship amount: $1,000.

Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship is a recurring scholarship awarding $1000 designed to help one incoming or continuing college student with their tuition costs.

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Application deadline: June 30.

Army R.O.T.C.

Application deadline: Ongoing.
Scholarship amount: Full tuition in addition to allowances for books and fees. Students are also eligible for a monthly living stipend.

BigFuture Scholarships

Application deadline: Ongoing.
Scholarship amount: $500 to $40,000.

Big Future Scholarship Program is open to seniors in high school who meet the eligibility requirements. There is no requirement for an essay or minimum grade point average. If you are an eligible student, by completing a college planning step using your College Board account, you will automatically earn a chance to win a $500 scholarship and an additional chance to win a $40,000 scholarship.

Children of Fallen Patriots Scholarship

Application deadline: Ongoing.
Scholarship amount: Varying amounts.

This scholarship works to ensure that every child of a fallen patriot receives all necessary college funding. They are dedicated to serving the families of services members from all branches of the armed forces who have died as a result of combat casualties, military training accidents, serve related illnesses, suicide, as well as other duty related deaths as ruled by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Starbucks College Achievement Plan

Scholarship amount: Full tuition.
